Vixen Media Group Releases Maitland Ward’s Directorial Debut, ‘Fame’

LOS ANGELES — Vixen Media Group has released Maitland Ward’s directorial debut, “Fame,” on studio imprint Blacked.

Ward also wrote the semi-autobiographical scene, and stars opposite Isiah Maxwell.

“The provocative scene depicts Maitland’s real-life experiences as a famous actress and her encounters with paparazzi, who notoriously strip celebrities of their privacy,” said a rep.

The director/writer/performer enthused about the opportunity to helm her first project.

“Stepping behind the camera was truly a thrill for me and an accomplishment I’m immensely proud of,” she said. “Being able to write and create my own scene on the site where it really all started for me in the world of adult entertainment was such a thrill and something of a challenge I devoured. There really is nothing like seeing the words you put on a page come to life.”

Vixen Media Group director Kayden Kross touted Ward’s creative evolution.

“Writing and directing her own scenes is a very natural progression and one that I’ve been excited to see from her for a long time,” she said. “This script is an excellent example of her talents as a writer and the first of what I hope will be many in the future.”

Ward echoed Kross’ praise, saying, “Kayden has especially been encouraging for me to create my own projects and I’ve learned so much from her, watching her create from behind the lens.”

“Fame” is streaming on Blacked.
